Pelleting is a key to the production of high quality nutrition feeds as they ensure that the feed formulation is in the correct quantities for all that eat them. Each pellet will have the same designed formulation ensuring all the stock are feed as intended. The pelleting process is forcing soft feed materials through holes in a metal die plate to form compacted pellets which are then cut to a pre-determined size. The machinery which has been developed for this purpose is now very diverse in design ,and different animals need different size of pellet.
Multi-aperture ring mold can meet user’s requirement,they can get different size pellet according to change ring die . Those ring mold adopted excellent technology, long service life, the production of smooth, high-quality feed particles. The compression ratio can be selected according to the raw material formula and product requirements, it can be adjusted by ring mold of the ring die pellet mill. Low compression ratio can increase output, reduce energy consumption and reduce the wear of ring die pellet mill spare parts. But the pellets will be loose, the feed pulverization rate will be high and the length of the pellets are hard to control.On the other hand, if the user using high compression ratio, the pellets will be strong, smooth and glossy, low broken rate . But the production cost will be high and machine consumption will be high.
Working Principle of Ring Die Feed Pellet Mill
The material is put into the screw feeder which can be easily adjusted for the feeding speed and getting proper material flow.
After this, the material goes into a conditioner where hot steam can provide favorable conditioning. Then, the material temperature is maintained about 64-85 °C and moisture between 14-16% before entering the pressing chamber. In the pressing chamber, materials will naturally be compressed into pellet form through the die holes under the high pressure of rollers.

Structure Of Ring Die Pellet Mill
Ring die pellet mill using a ring type die turning about two fixed rollers, with the die and rollers mounted in a vertical plane.
Raw Materials For Feed Pellet Machine
Corn, maize, soybean, rice, wheat: contain about 10-14% of protein and also contain vitamin B1, B2, B6 and small quantity of enzyme. Rapeseed Meal, cotton seed meal: high protein-containing material that can be used as a feed for livestock and poultry.
Typical meal contains around 38% of protein; however it also contains about 12% crude fiber and glucosinolates, specific components of cruciferae plants straw meal, grass meal, rice bran, wheat chaff: contain fiber, control many types of fish diseases. Grains like corn,soybean,wheat do not need to be crushed before pelleting,our animal feed pellet making machine can press them into pellets directly, but if you manufacturing other materials like straw, grass, alfalfa etc, you have to crush them into powder form and then pelleting them, when you manufacturing your own animal feed, single raw material do not also a mixer machine, but if you use several material, it is better to use a mixer machine, thus powder raw material can be mixed evenly.
